Rockstar Games' Latest Hiring Hints at Incoming Grand Theft Auto 6 News

From GTA BOOM Wiki

GTA 6 marketing plans are taking shape at Rockstar. A new job listing for a community manager suggests big news is coming.

Grand Theft Auto 6 hasn't been a secret for some time now — Rockstar Games confirmed the game a while back, and there's already a record-breaking trailer that came out last year. However, Rockstar has been silent about GTA 6 since — but that silence could be soon broken, based on some brand new job listings.

GTA 6 will be a massive game with even bigger expectations. It's only natural for Rockstar to want to tune out as much of the noise as possible by hunkering down and focusing. Naturally this hasn't stopped fans from piecing things together about potential GTA 6 news, such as when they found a job listing for a "Screenshot Capture Artist."

Now, a similarly interesting job listing has appeared online — according to the post, which is no longer available as of the time of writing (someone took a screenshot and shared it on Reddit before it got beaned), the studio wants to hire someone to engage with fans on platforms like Reddit and Discord. Typically, roles like these don't come up unless the developer is preparing for a marketing and PR rollout.

A community manager is responsible for drafting up plans to maximize the reach of the game through its fans and engage with the said audience. The fact that Rockstar is hiring for a community manager now indicates that it's preparing to do all of that and more soon, which lines up with what we've heard about GTA 6 so far.

GTA 6 is expected to rake in over a billion in revenue less than a week after launching.

Many believe that Rockstar won't let the year end without a second trailer for GTA 6. Historically, Rockstar has used this second trailer to announce pre-order dates and generate more hype for their upcoming games.

While GTA 6 doesn't need any introduction, it wouldn't hurt to have a face or name that fans can engage with leading up to the game's release sometime next fall, as confirmed by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick earlier this year.

With Rockstar expected to reveal more GTA 6 news at its next earnings call, which is just a day before the official launch of the PlayStation 5 Pro, we'll find out more about who it has hired to engage with GTA's rambunctious community.

In the meantime, Rockstar is keeping GTA fans busy with the latest update for GTA Online. After the Halloween update set new player count numbers, Los Santos is celebrating Día de Muertos ahead of what could very well be the final piece of content update for GTA Online later this year.
