Rockstar's Moon Tease Sparks New GTA 6 Trailer Theories—Again!
Rockstar's latest announcement has GTA enthusiasts looking to the stars, with an image featuring a Waning Gibbous moon.
Do you remember last year when fans "correctly" predicted the release date of the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer based on the Waning Gibbous phase?
Although the date predicted was off by a month, and it was the announcement of the GTA 6 trailer that it got right, not its actual release date, it has set a precedent that has led to the latest theory about when we can expect the next trailer for the next GTA title.
Rockstar Games' latest announcement includes an image that features the Darnell Bros Garment Factory, which will play a key role in the upcoming update. But, as pointed out by u/tnasstyy, the promotional image also features a Waning Gibbous moon on the background.
The next one will arrive on November 17, ending on November 22. Interestingly, the Waning Gibbous moon will return on the same dates in December, from the 17th through the 22nd, as per SpaceWeatherLive.com.
Now, is the GTA community making much ado about nothing? Possibly. But at the same time, it wouldn't hurt to circle those dates.
As much as Rockstar Games' co-founder might not have liked it when a certain industry insider leaked the GTA 6 trailer announcement last year, we can't put it above the same folks who had so many Easter Eggs in many of their games to try and mess with the fanbase just for the sake of it.
The worst-case scenario here is we don't get GTA 6 news before the year ends. That scenario is unlikely though, especially with the next Take-Two Interactive earnings call set for next week and GTA 6 scheduled for next fall. But at the same time, GTA fans have plenty to look forward to for the next two months already, so Rockstar and Take-Two might feel confident pushing anything GTA 6-related to a later date, possibly right around the earnings call after the next one.
At the moment, Rockstar is working on bringing Grand Theft Auto 5: Expanded and Enhanced to the PC, two years after it first came out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
In the meantime, GTA fans can continue enjoying the latest GTA Online update, which adds alien abductions into the game.
