Rockstar Games Highlights GTA 6 In Latest Website Update
Rockstar Games' website is the closest thing we have to an official announcement about Grand Theft Auto 6's release date.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release in the fall of 2025, according to recent updates from Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games. While official news outside of earnings calls has been scarce, keeping fans eagerly awaiting updates, a recent change on the developer's website has caught the attention of the GTA community.
As spotted by Reddit user u/ttimourrozd five months ago, Rockstar's official list of games now includes GTA 6, with a release year of 2025. This aligns with recent statements made by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick regarding the GTA 6 release window.
Companies like Rockstar tend to wait for concrete information before updating their web pages, so the inclusion of GTA 6 with a 2025 release date suggests that the game is indeed on track for a next-year launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (sorry PC gamers!).
In the meantime, Rockstar has been successfully re-releasing its older titles, such as Bully, L.A. Noire, and Red Dead Redemption, to cater to long-time fans and attract new audiences. These additions have also bolstered the company's subscription service, GTA+, making it more attractive and profitable for Take-Two.
A closer look at the developer's game list reveals that there are still plenty of untapped titles that could further enhance GTA+'s appeal. As fans eagerly await GTA 6, Rockstar's ongoing Grand Theft Auto Online updates and other projects will provide ample content to keep them engaged in the meantime.
