GTA 5 and RDR2 Stars to Host Future Games Show on August 21
Rockstar Games fans are in for a treat as the two fan favorite actors will be hosting one of August's biggest gaming events.
Ever since the death of E3, Gamescom has become the biggest gaming press event in the world, and the time for this year's convention is rapidly approaching. Rockstar Games fans will have a reason to tune in to the Future Games Show on August 21, even if the developer isn't expected to make any Grand Theft Auto-related announcements.
Ned Luke and Alex McKenna, the actors behind Grand Theft Auto 5's Michael De Santa and Red Dead Redemption 2's Sadie Adler respectively, will host the upcoming virtual showcase. The time, date and hosts were confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) recently.
The event will feature over 50 games, including titles from Rockstar's sibling company 2K, starting on August 21 at 1:00 PM PT, 4:00 PM ET, 9:00 PM BST, and 10:00 PM CEST. While it's uncertain if Rockstar will make any announcements, fans are still holding out hope for news on the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6.

Despite the lack of official information, some speculate that Take-Two might release a screenshot or two to boost its stock value following recent global market events. However, a former GTA developer has provided insight into Rockstar's silence, suggesting the team is still focused on developing GTA 6.
Rockstar has even implemented a return-to-office mandate to accelerate progress. Despite rumors of a potential delay, Take-Two has maintained its Fall 2025 release window for GTA 6. If Rockstar does make an announcement on August 21, it's more likely to be about the PC release of Red Dead Redemption, a year after its debut on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Gamescom is on between the 21st and 25th of August.
