This wouldn't be the first time Rockstar Games will remaster a game from over a decade ago on modern consoles with questionable improvements.
Exciting news for fans of the classic game Bully: a re-release may be on the horizon for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The speculation began when the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee listed a rating for Bully (Canis Canem Edit) on these platforms, as spotted by Gematsu. This has sparked discussions about which version of the game will be re-released.
Bully originally debuted as a PlayStation 2 exclusive in 2006, before being remastered as Bully: Scholarship Edition for Xbox 360, Wii, and PC in 2008, and later iOS and Android in 2016. Reports have circulated over the years about Rockstar's attempts to revisit the franchise.
However, it's important to temper expectations.
The listing could be related to the upcoming addition of Bully to GTA+ on August 20. Additionally, Rockstar's track record with remasters has been mixed, with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy—The Definitive Edition receiving criticism, while the Red Dead Redemption remaster saw strong sales despite its high price for a simple port.
Either way, fans are hoping for an official reveal at The Future Games Show later this month, hosted by GTA 5's Ned Luke and RDR2's Alex McKenna.
