With the launch of Grand Theft Auto V for the PS4 and Xbox One next Tuesday, GTA Online will be available for the first time on new systems. Players of the original version will be able to transfer their characters and progression, and now Rockstar has released a post outlining some of the new GTA Online features.
The new GTA V first-person mode will be available in GTA Online as well, allowing you to experience multiplayer from a whole new perspective. It will also be much more chaotic than the current versions of GTA Online, because it supports up to 30 players.
Character customization has also been highlighted, because there are new options. You can either create a new character or change you existing GTA Online character to take advantage of these new features. On a different customization note, the Creator Tool will allow for twice as many props. Combined with 30-player gameplay, user-created Jobs will be crazier than ever.
A special Title Update will be available to PS4 and Xbox One users on Monday, to provide the final little changes needed to make the remastered GTA V the great experience it's meant to be. Check out the official post for the full details about the PS4 and Xbox One GTA Online experience, along with information about how to get in touch with support if you run into problems.
But wait, there's one more thing. Rockstar also mentioned in the same post that we should "get ready" for heists. Of course, most fans have been "ready" since spring, but this could be a sign that heists are imminent. The post also clarifies that heists will be available on all four consoles, to clear up any fears that only the new versions would have them. That wording has caused some fans to be concerned the PC version won't have heists, but this probably isn't the case. It's more likely Rockstar means heists will release at once for all four consoles, and be available to the PC version from the start.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA V and GTA Online are almost here. Are you excited?
