GTA 6 Release Date Reveal Expected in 2023, Launch Set for 2025, Predicts Insider
Industry insider suggests that an announcement is imminent, with the game possibly launching in 2025.
Tom Henderson has been pretty spot-on with his predictions and leaks. So, it's always worth listening to what he has to say. Case in point, Henderson recently predicted certain things that could be announced next year. Among his predictions is the official GTA 6 release date reveal, which he claims will happen in the next twelve months. Furthermore, Henderson has claimed that GTA 6 will be out in 2025.
Henderson starts off his post by mentioning his previous prediction that GTA 6 will be coming out in 2024 or 2025, saying that he "strongly still believe" in the said dates. He then adds that a "2023 announcement would line up with these years perfectly", citing Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 as examples.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was first announced on October 25, 2011, before it was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a similar timeline, getting an official reveal on October 18, 2016, before it was released on the 26th of October 2018. Granted, both games encountered delays from their original release dates, but the point remains.
Of course, if we're being technical, GTA 6 was officially confirmed earlier this year, implying that it could come out in 2024, which Microsoft also believes. But, this was no more than just Rockstar saying that "yes, GTA 6 is real and it exists" and not an actual reveal. Microsoft might also have been referring to the fiscal year, which means GTA 6 could come in anytime between January and March of 2025. This isn't GTA's usual release window but weirder things have happened in recent years.
At the end of the day, this is all speculation. Until we hear anything official from Rockstar and Take-Two, it's best to take everything GTA 6 related that you read online with a grain of salt.
For now, we'll have to settle with the teases and hints that Rockstar keeps on dropping in GTA 6.
