The Los Santos Drug Wars update is available now in GTA Online
Rockstar Games has officially launched the Los Santos Drug War expansion for Grand Theft Auto Online. Just like that, everyone has another reason to dive back deep into GTA Online.
The latest GTA Online update, which is available on all platforms, will add six main missions to GTA Online. According to Rockstar, this is all but the opening chapter for a new story arc that will be released in portions over the next few months.
Unlike The Criminal Enterprises, which has you running ops for the feds, the latest involves being literally on the opposite of the law. Your goal is to help out the Fooliganiz, a group of "hard-partying nonconformists" led by Dax. You'll help these guys become Blaine County's latest drug lords by assisting them to set up an acid lab in the back of their armored RV, Breaking Bad style.
By participating in their missions, you'll receive double the currency and RP rewards until December 22. But, be careful, as they're not the only ones looking to get a chunk out of the psychedelic trade. A lot of other hodge podge crew of upcoming criminals like the Lost MC and more will attempt to foil their plans. It's up to you then to make sure that their business has enough stock at all times as well as raid Humane Labs, among others.
If it's any consolation, you'll have Ron, Trevor's old buddy from the single-player campaign of GTA 5, to keep you company.
Once you're done peddling high-grade hallucinogenics, you'll be rewarded for your efforts with two new vehicles, a bunch of extra missions, as well as the Acid Lab upgrade to earn extra cash.
Speaking of new vehicles, five other automobiles arrived in GTA Online as well as part of the update along with hundreds of new clothing items. Finally, Rockstar made several quality-of-life improvements designed to make you want to play GTA Online even more.
The latest GTA Online update should be more than enough to keep you occupied through the holidays while waiting for the subsequent parts of the latest content update to launch.
Speaking of GTA Online, eagle-eyed observers have pointed out how Rockstar has been using it to tease GTA 6. More likely, the most recent update and other upcoming ones will have similar content as well.
