More GTA 6 teases likely coming to GTA Online soon
Most leaks found in GTA Online and that pertain to future Rockstar Games projects are discovered in newer and incoming updates. This is pretty much how datamining works — a studio adds an update file ahead of its actual public release and dataminers find out certain info before the official announcement.
But, sometimes, looking back at older updates yields potentially groundbreaking info that can help fans piece together exciting news.
For example, after taking a closer look at two major updates from previous years in Grand Theft Auto Online, one leaker found references to Vice City that went under the radar at the time.
Last year's LS Tuners update added the Vice City Mambas decal into the game. There's also the Vice City Metro Mule artwork that was added in 2018.
The most damning evidence that these are teases and not callbacks is they weren't prominently featured until both of them were added to GTA Online. In the case of the Vice City Metro Mule, it didn't even exist when GTA: Vice City came out decades ago. But, as pointed out by eagle-eyed fans, the leaked GTA 6 gameplay from a few months back featured the transport company on posters and on the side of vehicles.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together and confirm that Rockstar is and has been using GTA Online to tease GTA 6.

This newfound information should encourage fans to dig deeper into GTA Online and find out what else they can uncover in the game. Of course, this isn't always a good thing, as GTA fans are known for reaching. But, at this point, most will take what they can get if only to tide themselves over until Rockstar feels like pulling back the curtains on GTA 6. Hopefully, all this teasing will come to an end soon with an official trailer reveal for GTA 6.
Who knows? We might get official word on GTA 6 next year ahead of its "presumed" launch in 2024, as per Microsoft.
For now, fans can look forward to checking out the Los Santos Drug Wars update for GTA Online and future content drops.
