San Andreas Re-release Confirmed for Xbox 360

From GTA BOOM Wiki

Yesterday, rumors surfaced about an upcoming re-release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The most compelling things about the rumor were the game's sudden removal from the Xbox Live Store and the appearance of a set of Achievements for San Andreas.

Well, Rockstar has confirmed that the Xbox Originals version of San Andreas will be replaced by a new Games on Demand version starting on October 26. That's Sunday, the 10th anniversary of the game's original launch.

This new version will have achievements, 720p resolution, and improved draw distance. As far as we know, those are the only changes. You will not be able to transfer save files from your Xbox Originals version, although you'll still be able to play it.

The rumor claimed San Andreas would be re-released for PSN and Steam as well, but Rockstar hasn't said anything about that. We'll keep you updated.
