Zombie Apocalypse Hits North Yankton in Latest GTA Online Halloween Update
Join the fight at the Ludendorff Cemetery, earn exclusive rewards, and help reach the GTA Online community's goal of 80 million zombie kills.
As the spooky season descends upon Los Santos, Rockstar Games has unleashed a terrifying array of Halloween-themed content in Grand Theft Auto Online.
From October 10 to 16, players can immerse themselves in a world of zombies, ghosts, and extraterrestrial encounters, all while earning exclusive rewards and participating in community challenges.
As previously confirmed, the main attraction for this year's Halloween update is the return to North Yankton, a place that Grand Theft Auto 5 players are all too familiar with. Unfortunately, every player's first time revisiting North Yankton isn't to celebrate. Instead, players will face off against hordes of the undead in the new Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode.
In this heart-pounding survival mode, players must fend off the waves of zombies, hulking juggernauts, and even possessed wildlife. The stakes are high, as surviving through three waves will net you a limited edition Gray Creepy Cat Mask and a hefty bonus of GTA$100,000 as part of the Weekly Challenge. For your efforts, all participants will enjoy double GTA$ and RP rewards through October 23, making it the perfect opportunity to embrace the Halloween spirit and make money.
GTA+ members have an extra incentive to brave the undead onslaught, as they'll receive the exclusive Mummy Outfit within 72 hours of participating in the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode.
But that's not all. Rockstar has issued a spine-tingling challenge to the entire GTA Online community: collectively eliminate 80 million zombies in the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode. If accomplished, this will unlock two exclusive rewards for everyone: the Orange Glow Skeleton Onesie and the Red Hooded Skull Mask. Players can track the community's progress on the official GTA Online website, adding an extra layer of excitement as everyone works together towards this ghastly goal.
For those who prefer their scares with a side of investigation, the Ghosts Exposed event has returned to downtown Los Santos. Each night, ten spectral entities will materialize throughout the city, challenging players to capture proof that these otherworldly creatures are real. Successfully documenting all ten apparitions will reward players with the new Ghosts Exposed Outfit and the returning Ghosts Exposed Livery for the Albany Brigham. As an added bonus, all ghost-hunting activities will yield double GTA$ and RP through October 16, making it a lucrative endeavor for aspiring paranormal investigators.
Starting October 15, eagle-eyed players may spot spot mysterious metallic objects hovering in the skies above Southern San Andreas. These UFO sightings aren't just for show – snap a photo of these otherworldly visitors for Omega, and you'll receive rewards in cash and RP.
In line with the spookifying of Los Santos, Rockstar has curated a special series of Halloween-themed jobs created by the community, each offering its own unique brand of terror. From navigating haunted houses to pirate ship battles, the modes promise variety and excitement. Best of all, participating in these spooky scenarios will net you triple the usual GTA$ and RP rewards.
For the car enthusiasts out there, Simeon Yetarian has got you covered. Head on over to his showroom to get a Weeny Issi Sport, an LCC Sanctus, a Benefactor Schafter LWB, a Shitzu Hakuchou, or a Declasse Tornado Rat Rod. But if none of these tickle your fancy, you can check out the shiny rides over at the Luxuy Autos showroom, which includes the Enus Paragos S sports car and the Declasse Impaler LX muscle car.
For the other GTA Online vehicle offerings this week, those on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X can try out the Grotti Itali GTO Stinger TT. Also up for test driving at the test track are the Annis S80RR, Pfister Comet, and the Dewbauchee Rapid GT.
Ii you're feeling devilish, the Maibatsu Penumbra FF is yours to keep if you can place in the Top 3 in the LOS Car Meet Series for three days in a row. Alternatively, you can head on over to The Diamond Casino & Resort and spin the Lucky Wheel for a chance to win the Obey Tailgater S.
