Star Wars Episode VII Meets GTA V (Video)

From GTA BOOM Wiki

Fans all over the world are highly anticipating the upcoming release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. With not much info to go on, wild speculation has flooded the internet regarding possible plot points and other details. Of course, in the mean time, fans of the franchise have been looking to get their Star Wars fix in any way possible, which means Star Wars themed stuff leaking into other franchises as well.

With several Star Wars themed mods available for GTA V, such as an X-wing in place of one of the jets, and an Imperial Star Destroyer replacing the blimp, it was inevitable that someone would get around to recreating some of the trailers for episode VII with the Rockstar Editor, which will be heading to consoles soon.

Star Wars Episode Vii Meets Gta V (video)

This video manages to recreate the first teaser for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and does it without mods at that. A pretty impressive feat, the video is perfectly authentic, with skilled pilots pulling off the various flight maneuvers. With fighter jets as stand-ins for the X-Wings, and a large passenger plane taking the place of the Millennium Falcon, all the unique Star Wars vehicles are replaced with the more grounded rides of GTA V. Landspeeder? Quad bike!

The attention to detail present in this video is impressive. The creators have painstakingly made sure that every movement is emulated as closely as possible. The only place for improvement would be the scene with Kylo Ren in the forest, though recreating that in GTA V might be outright impossible, so we'll let it slide.

Now, if the same team would remake this using some of the sweet Star Wars themed GTA V mods out there, that would most certainly restore balance to the force.

Are you guys looking forward to The Force Awakens?
