Business is booming in September 28 GTA Online Update

From GTA BOOM Wiki

Rockstar's nod to Oktoberfest with in-game Alpine Hat till October 4.

The digital streets of Los Santos are bustling with activity this week, courtesy of the latest update rolled out by Rockstar on September 28. The game's latest update not only bolsters the ever-evolving world of Grand Theft Auto with a fresh round of content, bonuses, and rewards but also introduces some impactful changes to the well-received Assault on Cayo Perico heist.

Foremost, players invested in the Assault on Cayo Perico heist might need to revise their strategies and expectations. Rockstar has recalibrated the setup costs and finale payouts for the heist, most prominently increasing the setup costs from $25,000 to a whopping $100,000. Additionally, the payouts for several primary and secondary targets have been scaled down. However, the payments for The Madrazo Files, the Pink Diamond, and Gold as a secondary target remain untouched. To balance the scale, Rockstar is doubling the base GTA$ payouts for Assault on Cayo Perico, and boosting rewards for those who rise to the challenge of optional missions.

GTA Online aficionados can expect a sprinkle of celebratory gifts this week as well, so make sure to scroll down below to find out more:

Furthermore, as a nod to Oktoberfest, the traditionally-styled Alpine Hat can be added to the in-game wardrobe of every player until October 4. Another sartorial freebie is the Red Happy Moon Tee, marking the Mid-Autumn Festival, which players can claim simply by logging in.

While the lack of a GTA 6 update remains disappointing, fans are still happy that GTA Online continues to get quality updates.

In the grander narrative of the GTA universe, this update serves as a reminder of Rockstar's commitment to providing a dynamic, responsive, and immersive experience for players. The developers have voiced their intent to "continue to monitor GTA$ payouts across all activity types and make further adjustments as needed."

While fans keenly await the elusive GTA 6 release date, the consistent and engaging updates to GTA Online is proof of the longevity and adaptability of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. From fresh content drops to event-themed freebies, Rockstar ensures that every week in the world of GTA Online feels both familiar and refreshingly new.

Speaking of, Rockstar Games is giving away the GTA Trilogy remaster for free to anyone with a GTA+ subscription. This is a huge bonus on top of the Bravado Hotring Hellfire being given away to subscribers this month.
