GTA V Gets Hit By Storm Of Biblical Proportions
While you should be cautious about taking life advice from it, the Bible would certainly make for an awesome disaster movie. And now, you can unleash a tempest in GTA V which rivals that which appears in scripture.
At one point in the plot of the book, the planet is struck by a massive storm which wipes out all life sans for two specimens of each species who survive on a boat with a full family of humans (and you're surprised we're overpopulating the plant — we had the advantage). While there are obvious undertones about morality and whatnot, the main focus is on the disaster itself, obviously. Basically, it's the film 2012 all over again without the fancy special effects.
Well, one GTA V player decided to top the thousand-year-old disaster tale with a mod created for Rockstar's blockbuster open world crime game. The Biblical Storm Adventure adds a "what-if" twist to the classic scenario, assuming that god was a DJ and a graphics enthusiast.
The mod allows players to trigger and customize their own biblical storm. The various options allow you to select the colors of the various effects, so you can end up with rain, lightning, fog and mist all being different bright neon colors.
The map has also been changed a bit, and it seems the citizens of Los Santos were well prepared for the coming of divine wrath. The beaches have been fortified, storm bunkers litter the country side and a ship for the survivors has been called in.
A number of visual changes and upgrades have been added along with the gameplay features. The new skydome features more stars and a blood-red moon. All the water effects, including rain, see significant upgrades and new 4K textures. The weather system alsogets an overhaul which puts most dedicated weather mods to shame, and lightning intensity gets a godly boost.
Any of you guys feel like going for a swim in GTA V?
