GTA Publisher Take-Two Taking E3 Center Stage
Cue wild speculation about GTA V Story DLC" title=""> or GTA VI. We might only be at the end of February but when you've got an event as large and as influential as E3, you've got to plan ahead. Work on organizing the massive conference begun quite some time ago (technically, it begun the second E3 2015 ended), even though it's only taking place in the summer. Rockstar hasn't particularly been known to fire off the big guns during E3, as GTA V was announced before the big expo back in the day.
Strauss Zelnick, CEO" title=""> of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of GTA developer Rockstar Games has stated that his company will have a major presence at this year's E3. Of the two big developers under the Take-Two umbrella, 2K has already released some heavy hitters this year and announced many more. Large releases like XCOM 2 and highly anticipated games like Battleborn and Mafia 3 all come from various studios like Firaxis and Gearbox, all part of 2K.
So if one developer is working to full capacity on games we already know of, that leaves only the other with anything to announce. If Take-Two will indeed have a major presence at E3, that means Rockstar has something big on the way.
Of course, before we all go wild about major GTA content, this could well be either the revived Agent, a new Red Dead game, or even a sequel to L.A. Noire.
Yeah, you know what? Go wild either way. It's been years since GTA V's release and we all know that if Rockstar does something, then it's going to be really good. It's good to see the developer is whacking its axe into something meatier than small-scale DLC for GTA Online.
What kind of an announcement are you hoping for from Rockstar at this year's E3? New GTA content, or some other IP?
