GTA Online: Last Day To Claim $250K
Rockstar isn't only celebrating Halloween this week, but the third anniversary of GTA Online as well. For three years, would-be upstart criminals have been arriving to LSIA in order to meet up with Lamar to kick off their career in the bustling city. For three years have the streets of Los Santos been a battleground between groups of oddly dressed bandits.
Now, in the AAA sphere, a three year old game now actually counts as pretty old. However, GTA Online has defied the trend of depopulation at this point. Thanks to constant content support in the form of free updates, and a staggered launch schedule across five platforms, the game is still relevant today, and is among the most popular multiplayer games.
In the wake of RDR2's announcement, many GTA Online players became worried that their preferred form of virtual entertainment will fall from grace. However, we tried to dissipate these worries — and even if that didn't convince everyone, Take-Two's official statement that they intend to keep the game profitable, and thus supported, through 2020.
In any case, as things like this usually go, Rockstar is celebrating the 3rd anniversary of GTA Online by giving to the players. Giving $250,000 worth of in-game currency. Anyone who logs in today — the last day before the deadline — will receive the quarter million by November 4th.
Acquiring cash in GTA Online is notoriously difficult — even though with the right methods, it really isn't — so players will welcome this little boost. If you're unsure of what to spend your quarter million on, take a look at our buying guide that we've compiled for new and returning players.
Rockstar is hosting a slew of sales, cutting 30% off one vehicle from each DLC that the game has received over the course of its three year run.
