GTA Online Heists Will be Joined by Adversary Modes and More
New game modes are coming to Grand Theft Auto Online! While many GTA Online players are looking forward to March 10 because of the long-awaited arrival of heists, today Rockstar announced even more new activities in store for GTA Online starting March 10.
First, for those of you who enjoy competitive gameplay, you'll have new options available to you. Called Adversary Modes, they come in three different styles and you'll unlock them as you perform heists.
Siege Mentality (pictured in the screenshot above) puts a team of as many as four players under siege by a team of as many as six. The team trying to survive will have access to all of their weapons, while the attacking team will only be able to use sawn-off shotguns to balance their higher player count and unlimited lives.
Teams of three will face off in Come Out to Play, where three Runners must try to get home on foot. The three Hunters trying to kill them have bikes/ATVs and unlimited lives, but can only fight with free-aim shotguns while the Runners can use all their weapons.
Finally, Hasta La Vista sends a team of Truckers to try to run down a team of Cyclists trying to reach the checkpoint alive. With no weapons in this mode, it's size and power versus speed and maneuverability.
The three new Adversary Modes should appeal to a lot of players interested in more player-versus-player options, but that's not all March 10 has in store for GTA Online. Rockstar also intends to introduce Daily Objectives" title="">, with three special challenges each day that will reward you with GTA$. You can even earn bonuses by completing objectives multiple days in a row.
Finally, March 10 will bring new Freemode activities, an Email system that lets you communicate with your friends, and new Awards. Check out the official announcement and let us know what you think about these new additions to GTA Online. It looks like March 10 is shaping up to be quite a day.
