GTA Online: Bikers Launching On October 4.
Rockstar has finally decided to reveal the date when all dedicated GTA Online fans need to call in sick (provided your timezone means the DLC will go live during your shift). While this new post still doesn't reveal too much about the recently announced Bikers DLC, we finally have a concrete release date to look forward to.
If all goes according to plan — and Rockstar has never delayed GTA Online DLC before — Bikers will be available worldwide on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on the 4th of October, meaning next Tuesday, exactly one week from today.
Rockstar also released a few new screenshots, showing off some of the bikes, clothes (including a whole lot of leather) and melee weapons that will be added to GTA Online when the update finally drops. That said, we didn't exactly get a whole lot of info dumped on us, leaving players barely the wiser about what to expect from the update than before.
[...]a rash of all new competitive and co-operative gameplay as well as new modes, vehicles, weapons, clothing and much more
The screenshots show that there will be some intense melee action going on while riding. Players will be able to swing a large variety of new close-quarters weapons while on their bike, allowing you to cut down your opponents without even having to stop. This also seemingly confirms that bike-jousting will be a feature in GTA Online — something we're ecstatic about.
The wheelies being popped in one of the screenshots lead us to believe that possibly there will be some kind of feature wherein if all members of a given MC coordinate their stunts, there will be some RP bonuses to be had. Even so, that is just a guess, seeing as there is barely any info released.
We do expect to see a trailer released for the DLC prior to launch next week. If this comes to pass, the trailer will be posted in the latter half of this week, possibly even during the weekend to ramp up hype right before release. The large number of new bikes being added to GTA Online is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated features.
Will you be calling in sick on the 4th to enjoy GTA Online's Bikers DLC?
