Analyst: PS4/X1 GTA V Will Sell Less than Originals
Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter has been mentioned by us before, like when he predicted a May release for GTA V and said it wouldn't be profitable to bring GTA V to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Well, he hasn't changed his mind. His latest report says sales of the upcoming remastered versions of GTA V for the PS4 and Xbox One will "pale in comparison" to the sales of the original versions.
Well, we can't really argue with that. Over 34 million copies of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have been shipped, and the PS4 and Xbox One consoles still have a much smaller install base than their predecessors. Many fans who played the game will buy the remastered version, but others won't.
We expect the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA V to be successful, but it would be crazy to assume it would hit the same high sales figures. He can call it an analysis, but Pachter's newest GTA V prediction seems like a pretty obvious conclusion to us. Do you agree or disagree?
