Top GTA Online Videos Of The Week: Sep 5. — 11.
In our newest weekly feature, we're bringing some of the best fan made video content related to GTA 5 produced in the past 7 days, every Sunday.
Amid all of the fake leak videos, "funny" moments compilations and the several 3-5 minute videos per day uploaded by the same person where they dissect some rumor over and over again by reading up forum posts made by others, you probably don't have the time or patience to sift through all the crap to find the good GTA 5 videos out there — but don't worry, we'll do it for you!
Last week we showed you a sweet and extremely authentic recreation of one of Ken Block's famous Gymkhana drift videos, a pretty revealing video showing off one of the less visible game mechanics which strive to make races more interesting, a thrilling car chase, an extremely entertaining film-scene recreation skit and a humourous health and safety film. This week, however, we're bringing a tribute to another Rockstar franchise, some technical support and more to the table.
Midnight Club Reloaded [Tribute] — AX System
AX System has put together a very well made tribute to Rockstar's highly praised racing franchise The Midnight Club. The franchise was known for its unique style, semi-open world gameplay and extensive customization options that it made available to the player. Though it has a relatively small fanbase compared to other Rockstar Properties, The Midnight Club still enjoys a dedicated cult following who are hoping for the continuation of the series, even after all these years.
GTA 5 EPIC JET SKILL COURSE | Custom GTA 5 Race #15 w/ Gaussianer — Evolve Stunting
Now, we might have often written about some impressive stunting videos in the past, but damn, this GTA 5 stunt video tops them all. What happens when you mix the new Cunning Stunts props with a jet (through some kind of odd sorcery), and add a skillful pilot into the mix? Something that is a hell of a lot more epic than the prescribed limit, is what. The fine handling of the jet on display here is pretty astounding, and while this video isn't exactly obscure, it deserves more views. In other news, the physics engine of GTA 5 is a bit of a far cry from realistic.
Grand theft auto IV map in GTA V! (ALPHA) — Origin EPiK
I mean, sure, this video is just a guy driving around a version of Liberty City ported over to GTA 5's engine... But damn, this is a video of a guy driving around a version of Liberty City ported over to GTA 5's engine! We've shown off similar mods in the past doing the same with Vice City and the San Andreas version of Los Santos, but the GTA 4 Liberty City makes the transition with more grace, due to it being a more recent game and having better models and higher resolution textures. If nothing else, this video has sure re-enkindled our desire to see the Grand Theft Auto version of New York City added to Online in some shape or form.
The Pacific Standard Heist Short Film | GTA V — Drewoid
Now, we're not sure if it was intentional, but the use of near-raw gameplay footage in the GTA Online Heist short-film, which clocks in at 15 minutes, lends a pretty funny B-movie parody vibe to the whole thing. Again, if the creator intended it as a serious affair, we apologise, but if you watch it with the mindset that you're watching something purposefully jarring and rickety for comedic effect, you'll have more fun with this than with the thousands of other heist-films made with the Rockstar Editor. Now all we need is an abridged version with Yakety Sax playing over it.
How to Fix Stutter in GTA V PC (Works with dual core!) — TheBudgetPCGamer
As far as most games go, GTA 5 is pretty well optimized on PC. As far as recent AAA games go, GTA 5 is extremely well optimized on PC. Even so, when running on certain hardware configurations, notably those of the low-end kind, issues may pop up. One of the most common ones is a bothersome stutter which happens when the camera angle is changed. This video offers some handy advice on how to fix the issue.
Top GTA Online Videos will be back next Sunday with the cream of the crop. Which videos would you like to see in the lineup?
