Testers Are Playing GTA V PC on Steam
Are we close to the release date of GTA V for the PC? Since the remastered versions are due out this fall, it should be coming soon, and this new data supports theories that the release isn't too far off.
SteamDB, a site that tracks information from Steam's database, has reported gameplay of GTA V on Steam. Two players logged GTA V playtime of approximately 5-6 hours this Saturday, September 6. These must be game testers, and the session length suggests GTA V for Steam is nearing completion.
For fans who believed GTA V for PS4, Xbox One, and PC would be released this fall, this shouldn't be much of a surprise, but for those who feared it was delayed, it's another story. On the other hand, some fans are still annoyed that we had to wait this long for a port to the new consoles and PC.
If you're concerned that the data shows only two testers, keep in mind that this is only for the Steam build of the game. The primary goal of these testers will be to make sure its Steam integration is successful. We're sure Rockstar used plenty of testers during development.
