Rockstar job posting points to PC version of GTA V
We've said it before that Grand Theft Auto V is not coming to the PC for a while yet, if ever... or is it? A job posting over at Rockstar Games (since removed) makes for some very interesting reading, as follows:
Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.
The key words being "bring our latest titles to the PC platform". Given that Rockstar doesn't have any recent titles that need porting to the PC (note the inclusion of the word "recent" — we know that Red Dead Redemption still hasn't made it...) one would have to think there is a good chance that "latest titles" in fact means the very soon to be released GTA 5 (L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3 are both already on PC).
If true, this would be very big news indeed for the mass of fans crying for a PC version of GTA V to be announced. While some have been claiming that they will hold off on purchasing a console version of the game in order to wait for a PC version (which we very much doubt many will have the willpower to do), this new glimmer of hope will be very welcome news to those without an Xbox or Playstation at all.
Just don't expect Rockstar themselves to confirm anything for a long time.
