Rockstar Will Remove Glitch Money From GTA Online
After certain glitches resulted in players earning money in Grand Theft Auto Online through cheating (mainly via vehicle duplication), Rockstar has announced that they will be removing all money created/received through the glitches.
The major glitch in question is one which allowed players to gather infinite amounts of money by exploiting the vehicle upgrade and sales system. Although the game has been patched to prevent the glitch from working, the influx of money into GTA Online disrupted the in-game economy as well as the balance of the gameplay.
Even players who obtained the glitch money through innocent means will have it taken from them, although further punishment will fall only on those who cheated in the first place. Some players think this is unfair, as people who got the glitch money from other players through legitimate means will have it taken from them even though they didn't do anything wrong.
Rockstar is doing its best to repair the damage done to GTA Online through these glitches, but it may be a harder task to repair their relationship with disheartened fans. We'll keep you updated on any progress/removal of money as it happens!
