Rockstar Games isn't kicking up the tried and true just because a new year rolled around — we're back on schedule with weekly dripfeed content updates alongside events with bonuses, discounts and all the usual goodies you've come to expect from Grand Theft Auto Online.
The new car joining the lineup after The Contract dropped is the decadent Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio, a fancy sports car with a retractable roof. As much a status symbol as a vehicle, the S2 Cabrio comes with a price tag to match, costing you GTA$ 1,797,000. That's not exactly a fortune considering the current GTA Online economy, but it definitely isn't pocket change.
In case you haven't gotten around to playing through The Contract's main mission chain about recovering Dr. Dre's phone, now is a good time to rectify that — all players completing the Nightlife Leak Finale mission this week will get double the usual RP and GTA$ rewards.
You can also unlock a free clothing item by playing a different mission from The Contract — join Dr. Dre at the golf course as part of The Data Leaks and complete your objectives to become eligible for the free Orange DJ Pooh Tee, which will arrive in your account sometime within the next two weeks
There are other ways to make some extra cash this week — if you've noticed a pattern, it's also related to The Contract. Complete Specialist+ Security Contracts to earn double the RP and cash, while you can break away from the new missions for a returning classic in Power Play, dishing out triple rewards.
The Orange DJ Pooh Tee isn't the only piece of free clothing you can unlock — grab the Rockstar Studio Colors Sweater by visiting the Music Studio sometime this week. You can also win a free Annis Euros by completing the Prize Ride Challenge, drive away from the Diamond Casino with a Coil Raiden won from the Lucky Wheel or test drive the Vapid Dominator ASP, Dinka RT3000, and Übermacht Cypher.
Discounts this week are headlined by a half-off deal on all MKII weapon mods, made all the more enticing with the offer of a free Minigun. Other highlights include 50% off on the HVY Insurgent, 25% off the TM-02 Khanjali and 40% off the Rhino Tank, among others.
