Nightclubs Rumored For Next GTA Online DLC

The Nightclub DLC is now out! Check out our full guide here.

A fresh rumor regarding GTA Online's next major DLC was recently posted by a fairly renowned leaker and, if true, it will likely make a lot of fans happy.

But first let us start by reminding everyone that in spite of anyone's track record, any information from a source other than Rockstar is to be met with a good measure of skepticism. That said, Yan2295 has been very rarely wrong and this newest leak seems both plausible and lines up with a very popular fan request.

According to this Tweet, the next major DLC will involve buying and operating your own nightclubs in a manner similar to the other businesses that were introduced across most previous updates. Like your Bikers businesses, Bunkers and Hangars, you will need to upgrade and maintain your nightclub to attract patrons.

No further details were provided by Yan2295 beyond the DLC being slated for a June release. However the baseline concept of a nightclub update based on the existing GTA Online DLC model leaves little to the imagination.

A number of purchasable nightclub properties will be added to the game map, with most of them being placed into downtown Los Santos. Once you've bought and customized the nightclub, you'll probably be able to upgrade things like marketing, performers and drink selection to make the club more attractive.

As for what kinds of missions this rumored DLC would include, we're at more of a loss. Maybe it will have a greater PvP aspect, having you sabotaging or wrecking other clubs to give them a bad rep. Alternatively, you might need to ward off NPC attackers on your own club.

Yan2295 also stated that a previously leaked business consolidation DLC, which would retroactively link all previous businesses to make management more convenient, is still happening. However on that note, we wouldn't be surprised if the Nightclub DLC is the business consolidation update. It's a pop culture staple that crime bosses lead their operations out of nightclubs, casinos or Italian restaurants after all.

Additionally such a Nightclub DLC would be clear nod at the GTA 4 expansion The Ballad of Gay Tony, which also featured nightclubs prominently. Whether the update would see a familiar face visit Los Santos from Liberty City to be a new content remains to be seen, but would be a nice treat for fans of the franchise.

Rockstar never hurries with announcements, so if this DLC is real and actually arriving in June as the rumor suggests, don't expect official confirmation any time soon.
