Gamers Starving for GTA 5 News
E3 2012 has begun and even though Grand Theft Auto 5 hasn't even been officially mentioned there, in any capacity whatsoever, GTA 5 related news and rumors are popping up everywhere all over the net. Here's a quick rundown on some of the more interesting pieces:
Tesco Leaked GTA 5 Release Date
I am posting this more as warning of what NOT to believe. Tesco (a UK based store) currently has GTA 5 listed with a release date of 28 December 2012. Not only does releasing the game after Christmas (if you're gonna do it around that period at all) make zero sense, but as if Tesco would be the ones in the know with the rest of us in the dark... Credibility factor: none.
GTA Forums Taken Down for Leak?
Here's one just to show you how crazy things have got. GTA Forums went down today for some maintenance (minor bug fixing to be exact) and apparently some people decided that instead Rockstar had somehow forced/taken the site down because of a major leak. Funny? Yes. Slightly concerning? Yes. Shows you just how much people need some fresh, official GTA 5 info!
More GTA 5 Easter Eggs Found in Max Payne 3
This post details some pretty cool (and new) GTA easter eggs that have been discovered in Max Payne 3. First off, someone managed to find the exact same bicycle that you can see in the GTA 5 trailer (screenshot below). Of course the bike is a little worse for wear and in a different position than in Max Payne 3 — but it certainly looks similar.
Next is a GTA related easter egg (sadly not GTA 5...). In one of Max Payne's friend's apartments in the game, you'll find a map of Liberty City.
Having now finished this article, I'm coming to the realization that I may indeed be suffering from the effects of a lack of quality, fresh GTA 5 info too... Rockstar — give us something!
