GTA V Preloading Live, New Blaine County Trailer
Good news everyone — the PlayStation Network preload for Grand Theft Auto V is now available for everyone, so you can start downloading the game ready to play come the stroke of midnight later today.
After the previous debacle (we won't go into it now, but you can read all about it here) the preload was taken down for a while and only just came back up for European gamers on Sunday at 3pm BST. Meanwhile people in the United States have had to wait a while longer to get downloading — it only went back up a few hours ago at 3am EST.
And just in case you don't know what preloading is — it lets you download 99.99% of the digital version of the game (that you've pre-ordered) and then once the game is officially released (in the case of GTA V, midnight on September 16) you connect to PSN and download a couple more files to complete and decrypt what you've already got. It's basically designed to put less strain on PlayStation servers and also means you can start installing and playing more quickly. Everyone wins!
In other news Rockstar has covertly released a new GTA V trailer — this one focuses on Blaine County. Check it out below.
