GTA V Lowlife DLC Hitting In August
Some time ago we reported on a particularly resourceful GTA Online player digging out reference to an upcoming DLC pack for GTA V from the game's code. The reference was a three letter code-name for the upcoming update.
"LOW", as the DLC is referred to in the code, is rumored to be intended as the polar opposite of the previous two Ill-Gotten Gains DLC packs, which focused on giving players a taste of the high life, by adding a whole host of extremely luxurious, and not to mention expensive, vehicles and items to the game.
The gaming community has taken to calling the as-of-yet unannounced DLC pack the "Lowlife" update, which sprouted from the vehicles that were associated with the update in the code. 12 vehicles which are currently unavailable in the game were found referred to with regards to the upcoming update. Some of these cars are returning from previous GTA games and checking out what budget these veterans are designed to accommodate will reveal what lead the community to believe that we will be getting a Lowlife DLC next.
Some fans have begun to cross-reference DLC release schedules over the years, and added a healthy load of mental gymnastics to the mix, and deduced that the most like release date for the upcoming content update is some time in August. If we compare the dates at which DLCs for GTA V released in 2014, and the dates at which they released in 2015, you'll discover a pattern. The Business and High-Life updates from last year correspond with parts I and II of the Ill-Gotten Gains DLC, and they match thematically too. This would mean that the Lowlife update is paired with the Hipster DLC, which would confirm the August launch date. It is also theorized that the DLC will contain a new type of race, however these are mostly baseless rumors.
Are you looking forward to what the alleged Lowlife DLC will turn out to really be?
