GTA V Crosses 34 Million Copies Shipped

From GTA BOOM Wiki

It's no secret that GTA V has done really well. After its early success, its sales continued, until it was on its way toward 30 million sales in January. By February, it had shipped (though not sold) 32.5 million copies.

Well, now it's hit another milestone, as Take-Two announced GTA V has shipped over 34 million copies since its release last September. Pretty impressive, especially since it hasn't been a full year yet.

Despite this, Take-Two reported a $35.4 million GAAP loss for the quarter, with no major releases to bolster its sales. Its other successful games, though doing well, are nowhere close to GTA V's success. For example, Borderlands 2 has sold 10 million units and NBA 2K14 has sold 7 million.

With the new versions of GTA V set to come out before the end of the year, it should be interesting to see how much its sales increase.
