GTA Online: Bikers Doesn't Overprice New Content

From GTA BOOM Wiki

Just when you thought that the absolute motherload of new content added to GTA Online by the latest DLC, Bikers, was as good as things are going to get, time to think again. This is not another case of Lowriders, where the main new additions to the game start around one million. This isn't Executives and Other Criminals, adding static yachts more expensive than the amount of cash yielded by the biggest Shark Card.

In Bikers, you need less than 2 and a half million $GTA to buy all of the new bikes. Yes, all. All 13 new bikes are really moderately prices. The fastest of the lot, the Hachukou Drag, is the most expensive at GTA$970,000. That's right, the most expensive new vehicle doesn't even hit the one million mark — which is especially surprising considering it is now the fastest bike in the game (though not in a straight line, which is odd considering it is designed for drag racing). Check out the full price list below:

  • LCC Avarus – $116,000
  • Nagasaki Chimera (trike) – $210,000
  • Nagasaki Street Blazer (quad) – $81,000
  • Pegassi Faggio Mod – $55,000
  • Pegassi Faggio Sport – $47,500
  • Miabatsu Manchez – $67,000
  • Western Rat Bike – $48,000
  • Western Bagger – $16,000
  • Western Zombie Chopper – $122,000
  • Western Nightblade – $100,000
  • Western Zombie Bobber – $99,000
  • Western Wolfsbane – $95,000
  • Shitzu Defiler – $412,000
  • Hakuchou Drag – $970,000

The Bikers update also brought Businesses and Clubhouses to GTA Online. Clubhouses are necessary for creating your own MC and unlocking Club missions, as well as the Businesses. However, one of the main reasons for owning them is the garage space. Rockstar finally answered the desperate cry of players across the community to expand garage space, as DLC updates have constantly been adding vehicles, and the garages of car collects have filled up long ago.

It isn't a complete victory, though. Clubhouses only store bikes, but they do store ten of them. If you don't feel the need to own all 13 of the new bikes, only a handful, and have had some bikes in your garages already, you can move those to the clubhouse freeing up space for cars.

The baseline prices for the clubhouses are pretty modest too. While GTA Online's executive offices introduced in Further Adventures in Finance and Felony started at 1 million and went upward from there, clubhouses fall into a range of 200k and 490k $GTA. Of course, adding bonuses like decor, a gun locker and the bike mechanic (which sadly isn't "Benny's for Bikes") will boost the price, but it's still way cheaper than any office or the high end properties.

The only expensive aspect of this DLC is the Business feature. Businesses need to be bought and upgraded (unless you want it bleeding cash), and until such a point that you can reliably steal enough resources, stock will need to be bought as well. We're looking at an initial investment similar to that required for CEO work, but at a much smaller scale.

Overall, Bikers pretty much embodies exactly what players have been wanting for GTA Online, and is guaranteed to not only attract new players but to win back older ones who drifted away. Bikers answers the long standing desire for a biker themed DLC, an update with cheaper content not forcing players to buy Shark Cards, and one which offers new ways to make cash besides heists and crate missions.

There's pretty much nothing we can chalk up as a negative aspect for Bikers, however that said, it would have been nice for it to bring new contact missions to GTA Online. Even so, with the addition of a massive selection of new Club jobs and challenges, it's not like Bikers didn't bring enough to the table as it stand.

Which of the 13 new bikes in GTA Online is your favorite?
