GTA 5 Coming Back To Xbox Game Pass

From GTA BOOM Wiki

Following a brief tenure on the Xbox Game Pass early last year before being replaced for Rockstar's other heavy hitter, Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming back to Microsoft's subscription service and will be available on consoles and via the cloud starting tomorrow.

Rockstar Games is clearly keen to get GTA 5 and Online into the hands as many players as possible, most likely due to the insane profitability of the "recurring spending opportunities" present, as Take-Two likes to call microtransactions. This is likely what also motivated the company to team up with Epic and give away GTA 5 for free on the Epic Games Store last year as well.

The new round of Game Pass titles were announced recently on the Xbox Wire, and will be rolling out on the 8th of April, meaning you only need to wait until tomorrow as a Game Pass subscriber to jump into the world of Los Santos and Blaine County if you haven't already.

GTA 5 is being joined by Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Disneyland Adventures and Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure tomorrow. Later this month a few other games are also joining the lineup, including NHL and Pathway on the 12th of April, Rain on your Parade on the 15th of April and finally MLB The Show 21 on the 20th of April.

This last one is a bit of an interesting addition, since it is being developed by PlayStation Studios and published by Sony, main gaming rival of Microsoft. The fact that the game is available via Game Pass is funny because to be able to play the title on a PlayStation console at launch, you'll have to fork over he full AAA MSRP of $60.

All the new players jumping into GTA Online tomorrow will be able to get ahead of the curve by following our many in-depth guides.
